Neue Liebeslieder (New Love Songs), Op. 65, written by Johannes Brahms, is a collection of Romantic pieces written for four solo voices and four hands on the piano. They are also known as Neue Liebesliederwalzer. Neue Liebeslieder were written during the Romantic period between 1869 and 1874. The text of the songs is adapted from folk songs of various areas of Europe including Turkey, Poland, Latvia and Sicily

Arranged for piano 4 hands (without voices) by Brahms, 1874 (first performance in this version: Vienna, 14 November 1874; published in 1874 as "O. 2a"); N. exists in two variants. No., 2, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 and 11 were arranged for voices with orchestra by Brahms, 1869–70 (first performance in this version: Vienna, 14 November 1874; first published in 1938).

In 1954, while still a student, Helmuth Rilling founded his first choir, the 40-member Gächinger Kantorei Stuttgart, with which he gained an international reputation. From 1957 he was organist and choirmaster at the Stuttgart Gedächtniskirche. From the mid 1960s he was leader of the Bachcollegium Stuttgart and the Frankfurter Kantorei, from 1969 to 1986 he was professor at the Frankfurt Music College.
