Pink Floyd have been known to perform and/or record a number of songs and instrumentals which have never been officially released on a single or album. Only those whose existence can be reliably confirmed are listed here. Bootleg recordings of the majority of below listed songs exist. Several previously unreleased songs appeared on The Early Years 1965–1972 box set in November 2016, which marked their first official release.
Live and Unreleased is a compilation of live recordings of the jazz fusion band Weather Report, released on Legacy Recordings in 2002. The tracks are taken from live performances that took place from November 25, 1975 to June 3, 1983. It is their third official live recording after the Japan-only Live in Tokyo from 1972 and 8:30 from 1979, although previous albums such as Heavy Weather and Night Passage also included occasional live tracks.
Album covers and liner notes are used, and sometimes additional information is provided, such as analysis of the recording, and lyrics or librettos. Historically, the term "album" was applied to a collection of various items housed in a book format. In musical usage the word was used for collections of short pieces of printed music from the early nineteenth century. Later, collections of related 78rpm records were bundled in book-like albums (one side of a 78 rpm record could hold only about . minutes of sound). Concert or stage performances are recorded using remote recording techniques. Live albums may be recorded at a single concert, or combine recordings made at multiple concerts.
Lady Gaga, just like any other musician, has tracks left over from her recording sessions, often referred to as unreleased songs or outtakes. Songs included on this list are either registered tracks that have not been commercially or promotionally released, leaked recordings that have gained attention from the media and fans, or songs confirmed by Gaga herself or other musicians that worked with her. Jackson: Unreleased Live Performances by Mark Sabbatini, published on September 9, 2004 at All About Jazz. But while he gets high marks for performance, the imperfections-due mostly to sound quality often resembling a mediocre audience bootleg tape-can't be ignored.
